On the 27th day of Mother’s birth, various rituals were performed for the longevity and the prosperity of the child; the nine planets were worshipped and the naming ceremony was performed with a great pomp: the near and dear ones had a discussion at length about giving a right name coinciding with Her birth star “ASLESHA”. Her father without giving much thought wrote the name in the vermilion powder as Whe ANASUYA. Whether it was the auspicious time of the ceremony, or the sanctity and purity of the letters of the name, the name ANASUYA had become legendary to one and all. The whole gathering uttered the name in one voice with joy and ecstasy. Her parents desired that Her name should echo forever in the same manner. They were blessed to become the parents of omini-present in no time. On the 29th day, a ritual was performed by Smt.Rangamma, mother’s mother in which she had to carry ami home a pitcherful of water from the village well amidst chantings and mantras and in the company of other women-folk. Just as she was nearing her house she heard a wailing of Mother’s Voice calling her. When she approached the cradle she found the sleeping baby in it. After a while she had again gone to the cradle to check the baby. To her horror, a Scorpion was lying beside the b e baby and her hand was resting on the Scorpio, as it a mother had put her hand on her child to assure it safety and security. Right from that infant age, the Divine Mother showed that Her Mother Hood is not restricted only to Her own children, but she is a Mother to all animate; inanimate. Mother means-boundless and endless.

MANTRAM (HOLY WORD) Upadesham (Holy initiation) is for reaching the vicinity (Lotus feet) of God. All mantras are one and the same. In every mantra, the same Sakthi exists, except the change in name and its alphabets.

As you chant “Om Namo Narayanaya” so also is chanting “Kameshwari Prana Nadhyaya”. (These are holy words in praise of the Lord. The effect is the same except the change of word and sound when read out).

It is not achieving the goal through Mantra but the Mantra itself enables us to reach the goal.
