Every year, on June 12th, 13th and 14th, Amma Anantotsavams are held at Jillellamudi to mark Amma’s entry into Anasuya Swaralayam. On these days, Amma is worshiped through various austerities.

The divine body of Amma which is not composed of the five elements but transcends them was consecrated in Anasuya Swaralayam. The cosmic Shakti which moves the worlds did move in Jillellamudi as Anasuya Devi mostly unobtrusively like an ordinary house wife. With her Darshan radiating unconditional love and compassion, Amma transformed innumerable beings to tread noble ways.

While Amma left her mortal coil on 12th June and abided in her real estate, her body was consecrated in Anasuya Swaralayam on 14th June. Spreading her resplendent glory and grace on the cosmos and on all beings, Amma presides over the sacred Anasuya Swaralayam along with Sri Nanna garu. As such, the Anantotsavams held every year for three days have deep spiritual significance.

12-6-2014:

On 12th June, colorful shamianas were put up in the campus and the temples were decorated with mango festoons. The House of All reverberated with sonorous Vedic chanting by the students of Matrusri Veda Pathashala and with sacred music.

From 6-30 am, with eleven Ritwiks chanting Rudrabhishekam Mantras, Sri Brahmandam Ravindra Rao commenced the Abhishekam to the pristine Moolavirat followed by all of Amma’s children. Later while Brahmavalli is recited, every one worships Amma with cooked rice which is the specialty of this day. The rice thus offered to Amma has been served to one and all as Amma’s Prasadam. This unique programme which commenced several years ago at the behest of Sadguru Sivasri Sivananada Murty is reminiscent of the days when Amma used to draw us close and feed with her own hands.

In the evening, the book ‘Amma Andinchina Tattva Darshan’ written by Sri K.B.G. Krishnamurthy (Gopalannayya) has been released by Sri A. Chandramohan. The reprint of the famous work ‘Mahopadesam’ recorded by Vasundhara Akkayya also was released on the occasion by Sri Katevaram Krishnamurty. The meeting to release the books has been presided over by Sri M. Dinaker, President of Sri Viswajanani Parishat. Smt Vasundhara Akkayya lighted the lamp. Sri Mallapragada Srimannarayana Murthy, Dr B.L. Suguna, Dr U. Varalakshmi, Sri T.T. Apparao, Sri A.V.R Subrahmanyam spoke high-lighting various aspects of the work which is borne out of the experiences Gopalannayya was bestowed with in his long years of association with Amma. Sri Kondamudi Lakshmiprasad spoke about Amma nourishing their family while Sri Gopalannaya was devotedly working full time for Amma and Samstha. He reminisced about people like Chalam and Westerland. Sri Gopalannayya expressed his grateful thanks to the speakers while saying that it is Amma’s unconditional grace which sparked his philosophical yearning reflected in various chapters of the book. Sri Ravuri Prasad recited invocations and poems with his mellifluous voice. Sri Y.V. Sriramamurty, General Secretary proposed vote of thanks.

At 6-30 pm, Amma was worshiped with different flowers in Anasuya Swaralayam. Apparao spoke on the yogic prowess of Amma. Sri M. Dattatreya Sarma exhorted that Amma is ever present and is drawing to her many sincere souls yearning to achieve higher states. Sri V. 2. Parayana of Ambika Laksha Namarchana once every three months.
  3. Planting avenue trees along the road from seventh mile up to Jillellamudi.

Brahmandam Seshu Akkayya narrated some instances which went to prove that Amma’s image in Anasuya Swaralayam is not a block of black granite but reverberates and responds with infinite love as was the case when Amma was in human form.

Sri M. Dinaker in his speech said that more suggestions will be invited from Amma devotees in celebrating Amma Satha Jayanti (Centenary) and implementation would commence soon. 14-6-2014

The significance of water, one of the five elements that constitute the cosmos needs no emphasis. While the Vedas extolled the virtues of the life-fluid, in modern times too several experiments are carried out on the unique features of this element. It is established in the experiments in several countries that water retains memory and responds to human emotions. Thus the program of performing Abhishekam to the image of Amma with thousand Kalasas (pots) of water has deep spiritual and esoteric significance. After recital of Mahanyasam, while Rudrabhishekam Mantras and Upanishats are recited by the Ritwika, all brothers and sisters poured water consecrated with Mantras on Amma image praying or timely and copious rains and good harvests so that all people have plentiful food.

In the evening ‘Raga Neerajanam’ program was held in which several compositions on Amma by Sri Raju Bava, Nadira and others were rendered by Smt. L. Vijaya, Smt Dr M.B.D Syamala and Smt B. Sivakumari. Sri Ravuri Prasad compeered the event effectively. Orchestra composed of Sri Eka Raja (key board) and Sri P. Subrahmanyam (dolak). All artists were given clothes as Amma Prasadam. Sri Y.V. Sriramamurty proposed a vote of thanks.

At 7.00 pm, like every year, Sri Valluri Parthasarathi Rao and Smt Vedavati from Hyderabad organized pulangi seva (worship of Amma image in Vatsalya Layam with flowers). The image was decorated with fragrant jasmine garlands and other flowers from head to toe. Sri Lalitha SahasraNamam was recited by all those present. 32 women lit the jyothy and offered Mangala Harathi to the self-resplendent Amma.

After the day’s events, the sultry and harsh climate became pleasant with gusts of cool winds and showers as if benediction from Amma.
