मदुप्राश्रेणीं विलिखितु मराक्तं स्वसचिव
विलोक्योद्धान्तोयं मम हि शमनो दंडन विधौ ।
अशक्त सन्तापं व्रजति नितरा मस्य मनसः
प्रशान्तिं संधातुं कुरु दुरितदूरं जननि ! माम ||

Yama, the God of Death, looks in bewilderment at his minister for his (minister’s) incapacity to record the series of horrible sins committed by me. He is sorry for his inability to inflict proper punishment on me. O Mother ! , to give him peace of mind at least, absolve me of the sins.
