IN the midst of his search for a lost article, who will be switching off the light?
He is no wise man that insists on getting down when the ship is in mid-sen;
Ere it even showed it’s flower, who fells the Banana tree?
For my part, I am not going to leave Thee Mother!
If the evil in the form of evil leads to hell,
that in the disguise of good may lead to heaven.
Yet, neither could make us reach Thy feet, Mother!
Like a foolish beggar, who, sitting under the Divine tree
that fulfils all wishes, asks for a new begging bowl,
and compares the merits and demerits of the old one
and the new, I ever think of Hell and Heaven and never
ponder to reach Thy feet!
What should I be called, Mother, if that beggar be a fool ?
